GE Appliances, a Haier company, has recently unveiled the GE Appliances Community Heroes program, aiming to recognize and support the unsung heroes in local communities across America. The initiative allows owners of GE Appliances products and consumers to nominate nonprofit organizations that are making a difference in their communities. These organizations will have the chance to receive donated appliances to aid their essential work in providing food, laundry services, and other critical assistance to those in need.
Kevin Nolan, the president and CEO of GE Appliances, emphasized the importance of acknowledging the everyday community heroes who go above and beyond to help others during challenging times. The program follows a buy-one, give-one model, where owners of new GE Appliances products can nominate a nonprofit of their choice to receive donated appliances every month.
Katina Whitlock, the senior manager of community engagement, expressed the company’s commitment to supporting individuals and organizations that share their vision of making the world a better place.
To participate, product owners can submit their nominations on the GE Appliances website at www.geappliancesco.com. Eligible nominees must be 501(c) charitable organizations that prioritize inclusion in their work. This program represents GE Appliances’ dedication to serving not only their customers but also their communities, empowering local organizations to continue their vital work in helping those in need.
